Located near the chest's rib muscles, the meat is tender with abundant and evenly distributed marbling. It features a distinct eye-like piece of fat in the center, hence the name "Ribeye". Because this area receives less exercise, its tenderness is second only to the tenderloin. However, with a higher fat content than tenderloin, it tastes less dry, offering a firmer texture and better chew.

The Certified Angus Beef® brand represents the highest standard for Angus beef, guaranteeing deliciousness, tenderness, and juiciness. Earning the coveted Certified Angus Beef® seal is no easy feat. The beef must first be graded as Choice or Prime by independent USDA graders. Only the finest Choice and Prime grades qualify for this premium brand label. Furthermore, the beef must pass 10 science-based quality standards covering marbling, sizing, and consistency. Only 3% of all beef meets the standards for the brand's Prime grade. This exceptional marbling is key to its outstanding flavor and tenderness, ensuring satisfaction in every bite.

Are Certified Angus Beef® products exclusively from the United States?
While the majority of the cattle supplying the brand are born, raised, and processed in the United States, CAB also partners with producers in Canada who raise, process, and market products bearing the Certified Angus Beef® label.
